How Do We Prepare Young People for a World We Cannot Imagine?

Children beginning school this year are likely still to be working in the final quarter of the 21st century, so no matter how much they learn at school, it won't be enough, because most of what they need to know for their lives hasn't been discovered or invented yet. In this keynote, Dylan Wiliam will suggest that creating the schools our children need requires understanding what kinds of capabilities will be needed in the future, understanding why previous attempts at school improvement have been largely unsuccessful, and what we can do instead.
