IB Programme (Re)authorisation has changed from the previous 2014 model with the introduction of the 2020 Programme Standards and Practices. The new model shifts the focus from programme compliance towards programme development. This is a fundamental shift in focus for IB authorisation, where the onus is now on a school to beyond compliance to the development of its programmes in line with its strategic planning and the framework of the 2020 Programme Standards and Practices.
 
The session will go through the changes in the authorisation model and offer practical advice on how schools can interpret the model to successfully use IB Authorisation as a vehicle for school development. The session is recommended for programme coordinators, school leaders, and those responsible for programme development and change management.
