This session will focus on Dr Carl Hendrick's book 'How Learning Happens', (co-authored with Professor Paul Kirschner) in which they explored 28 seminal research articles on learning and teaching, chosen from the fields of educational psychology and cognitive psychology. He will focus on what John Sweller calls 'cognitive architecture' and how teachers can harness key research from the field to create the best conditions in which their pupils can flourish and learning can happen.
