Critical thinking, complex problem solving, and creativity are among the most cited future skills, due to their promotion by the World Economic Forum in their Future of Jobs Report. Yet their findings predate the global pandemic, the war in Europe, and worsening climate crisis that are shaping the perceptions of young people about the future. In a world best described as volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA), systems thinking is the critical skill to acquire today but systems leadership is what we need to develop in our young people for the future. This session explores the «why » and the «how » of developing future systems leaders.
